ABUS FTS 88 window and door lock

Thanks to its particularly slim design, the ABUS FTS 88 additional window lock offers unobtrusive break-in protection for inward-opening windows and doors. It is suitable for universal use and can be easily combined with all common uPVC and metal windows. The VdS-approved ABUS FTS88 lock is also extremely suitable for lift and slide doors and offers a corresponding door lock, which keeps the door firmly and reliably closed. The two interlocking steel latches on this additional lock ensure a particularly high level of break-in protection.

Thanks to these interlocking latches, the pressure resistance against prying the door open is over one tonne.

The hinge side of the window or door should be protected separately with a hinge side lock.

The additional door and window lock from ABUS can be easily locked and unlocked with the same key. The FTS 88 window lock is available in white, silver and brown.

Proven security technology

The ABUS FTS88 window and door lock meets the strictest requirements of German safety standard DIN 18104-1. This makes it break-in-resistant and offers effective protection against unauthorized entry into your house. According to the above DIN standard, it is recommended that one additional lock be installed on the right and left of the unit for each metre of window or door height.

A particularly high level of protection may be achieved by incorporating other ABUS products.

Easy installation of additional window lock

The ABUS FTS 88 is easily attached to the handle side of a balcony door or window and is ideally suited for all common balcony doors and windows with turn-tilt or turn fittings. The sturdy AGV 88 can be mounted on uPVC as well as on aluminium or other metals. It is typically attached to the inside of the unit. To ensure that the FTS88 window lock works properly one lock case must be mounted on the sash and the other lock case on the window frame.
