Doors with Master-Carré® decorative glazing combine unique design with functionality. Thanks to the natural light entering the house, a welcoming, cosy atmosphere is achieved while the structured surface offers a modern, eye-catching design, visible from inside and out. Because of this, the glazing also serves as an effective privacy screen, reducing people or objects behind it to colourful blurs for onlookers.
Configure nowAt windows24.com, Master-Carré® can be used as the glazing for full glass doors with uPVC frames which creates an open yet private design. For aluminium or wooden doors, the glass can then be installed in inserts of all shapes and sizes.
The manufacturing process behind Master-Carré® glazing is one of its distinctive trademarks. The characteristic pattern of squares is imprinted into the cast glass using rollers while it's still in a liquid state. This creates a unique, textured surface, dispersing light in different directions to provide privacy. Also fittingly known as structural glass, the glazing has a green tint to its edges which has it blend in well with white or grey doors, as well as stainless steel items such as handles, to create a harmonious, candescent entrance.
The semi-opaque nature of this bespoke glazing adds character and looks attractive. Functionality is, however, never far behind as the glazing allows natural daylight to flow into homes while ensuring elegant seclusion, even when used in entrance doors.
Mastercarré® is also highly versatile due to its additional suitability for usage in interiors. The beautiful semi-transparent appearance, for example, means the glass functions excellently as a decorative yet practical room divider or modern door stylishly connecting rooms.
Given that they are filling openings in doors, glass panels are at risk of being weak points with the potential to negatively influence thermal insulation and security. At windows24.com double glazed MasterCarré® structural glass can be reinforced, however, with an extra pane to produce triple glazing which stabilises indoor temperatures and saves on energy bills. A pane of laminated safety glass, on the other hand, can also be added to the panel’s exterior to strengthen the glazing against break-in attempts. Other features which can also maximise the door’s thermal and security properties then include:
With these options, at windows24.com you can configure a made-to-measure Mastercarré® glazed door which meets high energy and security standards while providing stylish design and natural light to your entrance area. In our easy-to-use configurator, for example, you can customise your door according to your individual wishes and needs by selecting a uPVC, wood or aluminium base and choosing between many different models, colours and panel sizes.
Doors with a single panel or multiple inserts featuring Mastercarré® glazing require no more maintenance than those made from clear glass. This is because, in all these entrance door double-glazed panels, the textured side of the glass is placed so that it’s facing the inaccessible, inner space between panes. Your usual glass and door appropriate cleaning products will do, meaning time and money is saved.
